Spray Tan Prep + Aftercare

Before your appointment:

Take a shower as normal, but be sure to rinse off ALL of the shampoo and soap! If possible, please avoid using Dove soap before AND after the appointment; any other brand is okay!

Exfoliate with an oil-free product 1-2 days before the appointment. Properly exfoliating with an oil-free product can increase the life of your tan by up to three days!

Shaving and waxing should be done 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Do NOT apply any makeup, deodorant, moisturizer, lotion, or creams before your appointment.

What should I wear to my appointment?

During the session, it is up to you how much you want to undress. Most like to stay in a bikini to get those tan lines, but we recommend dressing however makes you feel most comfortable.

Our solutions we use are oil-free, which means it will NOT stain your clothes, bedsheets, or your furniture; however, we do suggest wearing dark, loose-fitting clothing after being sprayed (such as a T-shirt, loose shorts, and flip flops) so that your clothes do not rub against the spray tan while it is developing.

When should I schedule my spray tan?

If you are getting sprayed before a big event, book your appointment at least 2 days before the event to ensure full color and glow.

After your appointment:

Continue wearing loose-fitting clothing so your tan doesn't rub off/become uneven.

After your appointment:

Avoid all moisture until time to shower. NO swimming, washing dishes, or other activities that involve the possibility of you getting wet.

Avoid harsh chemicals like Salicylic Acid, BHA, and anti-aging products.

When it is time to shower: RINSE ONLY! Immediately washing your tan off with soap can lessen the quality of your spray tan, so wait until 8-10 hours or until the following day to use soap.

Make sure to moisturize after your shower! Using a moisturizer will not only keep you glowing, but also extends the life of your tan.

When your tan starts to fade, that is when it is best to exfoliate. Getting rid of the leftover tan residue 1-2 days before another spray is best!
